I just got the red ring if death for the second time in a year!!!!!! This is getting really old and I really dont want to buy a PS3

Mine has been dead for like 2 months. microsoft can't fix it because my addresse doesn't show up in their system so they won't send me a box or anything. I have tried friends addresses also...no luck. So I'm gonna have this computer expert guy I know fix it...the warrenty is doing me no good so I don't care if I void it.

Finally called mine in last friday. Lady said I should get the box in 3-5days and then it takes 2 weeks to repair.

If you guys get the NEW ones with the HDMI outputs you would not have a problem.

Why don't people get this?

I hear ya lee, but I have one of the 1st gen ones and when you send one of those in, they send you the same back. I think though that I may try to sell mine when I get it back, take a little hit with the price difference and buy a newer gen one. I just hope I can find some sucker out there dumb enough to buy the old one.

I hope you're not talking to me. I'll set you right boi. I hadn't played for awhile, then my little cousin played it straight for like a week...that is what killed mine.

Naa dude, I am a textbook example of a casual gamer. during the summer I may play 1-2 hours a week after dark or when its raining and mabe 3-4 hours during the winter. I dont play nonstop like some kids but yet my 360 still blew up on me twice.

I had a spare xbox360 laying around and tried this and it acctually worked, the xbox had 3 red rings everytime it started. did this and it works fine now.

blu ray over dvd
removable hard drive
supports installation on linux, without modding
better graphics
and no red ring of death :D
