Well I'm finally breaking down and spending the dough on a new system. My last was a ps2. If you were to walk into gamestop and plunk down the cash for a new system which one would you get. Forget about the redring of death on the xbox. Put that aside and tell me which one is the best bang for the buck.

the 360 for sure. Xbox live is amazing, the price is amazing, games are great, graphics are just as good or better. Get the 360! Wii is for kids and PS3 is for blu-ray.
PS, I have a spare 360 that is less than 3 months old for sale with extras + a ronronmx discount

PS3 blu Ray standard 360, external HD-DVD drive, sold seperatley (HD-DVD who?)
PS3, fully upgradable hard drive. 360, good luck figuring it out
PS3 graphics vs 360, well I have the ps3, my bro the 360. After a day of playing on my PS3, he wishes he went the direction I did.
PS3, native linux support. 360, good luck with that.
PS3, usb support for mice, keyboards, controllers.
Overall, I think the PS3 blows the doors off of the xbox. Especially if you plan getting or have an HD-TV, its the only full 1080p system. So graphics are naturally better. Just wait till they make games that will use up the entire 50gigs of the blu-ray disc.

Thanks for the tips. I think soon as I get back from vacation next week I'm heading to gamestop and getting a PS3. We are getting a new flatscreen when we move so I'll have a sweet tv to playon.

Umm I bought A 360 And I definately regret it as far as the whole blue ray thing because I bought it before the Blue ray thing went into effect
Your best and smartest choice would be the PS3 Just for the Blue Ray Player and Free Online Play
Take it from me

OK, I couldn't wait. I went down to gamestop and picked up a PS3 80gig. Hopefully I got a good one. Didn't have a whole lot of money leftover so I picked up fall of man used. Not to impressive but good graphics.

I got a 360 and I love it, I buy my gaming systems to play games not watch movies. Xbox live is unmatched as far as online gaming goes and no ring of death here either. The new systems have no issues.

PS3 and The 360 do the same thing But the PS3 plays BlueRay also.... and has FREE online Plus no RING OF DEATH
Blue Ray players by themselves are at least $400, Its not that hard to figure out I just wish I knew the whole Blue Ray Take over was going to happen before I bought my 360
And Yes the new systems have the same issues
I have the Elite Series 360 and have already had to send it in for the Ring Of Death

I went with the 360 and like alot of people, had a few break down issues. However my last 360 has been superb for several months now and it's not something that concerns me anymore. At the end of the day though, the PS3 is very well built. No one can really ,hand on heart, say the same for the 360.
However as far as gameplay, graphics and online services go, I love the 360 and would still give it a slight edge in the "Pure Gaming" department.
It also depends on what titles your after and what you primarily want it for. Mass Effect and Fable 2 are very much my thing. I'm also discovering many superb xbox originals like kotor. At the same time I have zero interest in Blue ray or using my console to watch movies, so for me, the 360 is an obvious choice.
Ofcourse, the P33 also has some cracking exclusives too. You can't go too wrong with either system imo. They're both very good.
