Any of you guys ever been to New York City? I've lived in upstate NY for 27 years and I never made it to NYC till this past weekend. WHAT A CRAZY CRAZY F'd UP place it is. The day I was there, it was pouring down rain and the sidewalks were still completely overloaded.
When I first stepped out of the transit terminal in manhattan, It was a sensory overload (and It was just like on tv). I walked out the door and immediately there were horns honkin, police sirens, people everywhere, yellow taxis everywhere, jackhammers blarring, and steam billowing outta the gutters.
It really made me appreciate my upstate hillbilly town but I must admit, the place is amazing.

Nice pics! I flew into JFK once, but never left the airport...im not sure that I would want to. That place is way to busy for my liking. Im sure it could be a helluva lot of fun though.

Were you just there to site see and check it out?

My main objective was to go to the Mets/Braves game saturday (which amazingly turned into a 2 games for the price of one doubleheader because of the rainout friday night) But since I brought my girlfriend who doesnt exactly love baseball, we had to comprimise and go sightseeing in manhattan on friday.

JFK and LaGuardia are nightmares. Newark is much better IMO.

Nice pics Obarf.

I haven't been to Manhattan in a while, and I'm only a 25 minute ferry ride away.

I may be going to NYC next month with my sister's accounting/business club thing at school. i'm not 100% sure i'm going yet but if I find out that I can i'll probably just end up dying from excitement.. farthest north i've ever been was north carolina...and that was the very southern tip of it hahahhah:-D

I went when I was about 15 (21 now) and loved it. Its such a weird place, unlike anywhere else ive ever been. One of the coolest things ive ever seen was viewing time square lit up perfectly at night from the empire state building. The subways, well, theyre an adventure of their own. Worst mistake was buying a hot dog from a street vendor, friggin nasty.

nice pics...went to Time Square back in 2003 with for work and stayed at a hotel right on the square... Pretty crazy place coming from a small town myself, we had some fun though jumping around some of the bars...

Serious hustle and bustle there though..."the city that never sleeps" certainly holds true.

No way man! I was so excited to get a Hot Dog from a street vendor, but dear lord if that wasnt the worst hot dog ever made.

Another NY story. Theres a homeless lady sitting and someone threw her some change, and she drops it. I go to pick it up for her, next thing I know she's right up on me throwing down every curse word conceived by man. Scared the hell outta me.

Tijuana hot dogs > NY hot dogs

The combination bacon, real dog, grilled onions, and an 8 hr binge of tequila and Coronas makes them superior. Cuidado!!! The TJ dogs bite back later on
