rider:
start off by choosing your style of rider; ex: on SKATE, you can choose your skaters style to be loose, aggresive, etc.
Mini Bike Career
you'll race 8 amateur nationals on a 85 (cmon guys, would that be sick to a game with 85? yes!) ex: whitney, oak hill, world mini, ponca, LL, dodge, branson, mini o's...
Moving Up
once you do a season of 85s you move up to the 250f amateur class (intermediate) and race the same races in that.
Going Pro
Finally, going pro. Youll have the option of "amateur nationals" (why? better chance of earning a factory ride; factory ride = better equipment and they pay for entry fee/bike parts/etc) or "supercross/motocross" (where youll go straight into the pro ranks and earn a factory ride the hard way and pay for everything)
example:
Pro Ranks "Amateur Nationals"
youll do the amateur nationals again, if you choose to do them another year of course, by now youll know the tracks (once your in the 'pro ranks' the tracks are much rougher) lets say you earn 0-50 pts that year [you cant see your points] youll earn a "not so good" team, they dont even need to be real teams, they just wont have as good/reliable equiptment but they will pay for everything, no teams specificly and if you had a stellar year you can earn a good sateliete team (geico honda, pc kawi, yamaha of troy, makita suzuki, etc)
Team Requirements
"not so good" teams will have goals (like on dirt to daytona)
not so good teams' goals will be "make 5 main events and get 1 top 10"
satelite teams' requirements will be "get 3 top 5's and finish top 7 in points"
You'll do 2 seasons in the 250f class before moving up the the 450 class.
If you were a top 5 guy in the lites class (just like amateurs, all your 250f pro points will be added up towards 450 class but you dont know)
In the 450 class you can earn a "not so good" team as well.. but all teams with be good quality.. the main goal is to get a factory contract with Team Kawasaki, Team Honda, Team Suzuki, Team KTM, Team Yamaha. Which will be a huge difference, handles better everywhere, quicker, quicker in more better places.
Tracks
Supercross: no 100 ft doubles.. make them realistic tracks, tight technical and steep jumps.. 16 rounds (2 heats, a lcq if needed, and a 20 lap main)
Motocross: make them replica's, rough, rutted, and GNARLY!!!!
Arcade Mode
250f SX/MX, 450 SX/MX
dont need to bother doing amateurs and factory rides and all that, just race.. for the people who arent hardcore.

Once you do a full season of 450's... make it where you can keep doing seasons.. not "your done!"

ps: i copy/pasted my old post for ideas and made them better.

dont look at this and find 1 thing to pick me apart about, if there is something you dont agree with then think of other ways that you can make it better.. positive comments only here please..

Shorter amateur season. Nobody wants to buy a game to be an amateur. One season only, on a slower bike then the pro bikes. Better amateur career, better "support" you get as a pro. I to like the idea of satelites and factory teams but it will never happen. There isnt a company out there that wants to be represented as a worse team in a video game. Instead how I would arrange it, is the better you do as an amateur the faster the bike you would get. For example if you finished like 10th in the amateur season, "Team Yellow" offers you a ride on a bike that is slower, handles worse, etc, it would be a tiny step up from your amateur bike. But if you podiumed as an amateur then "Team Yellow" offers you the best bike possible.

Real tracks, "Gameproducer" says this will never happen, because people would think theyre boring. If thats reallly true, thats fine, but then take the real tracks and just upscale them.

Actual sponsorships is what I think has been lacking on most games and a decent career mode.

i dont dig the whole amateur idea. a career mode would be good with 125/250f national championships, lites sx regional championships, 450 sx and mx championships. i agree on the real national tracks. i can imagine the final laps at glen helen.. that would be sick. as far as sx tracks, tighter and steeper jumps. and also, stadiums shouldnt look like they're huuuuge. thats ridiculous.
and a good customization shop thing. make your own graphic kits, stuff like that. hell, maybe even a track editor.

Yeah guys this is exactly what i wanted you to do, look at what i mentioned and if it isnt great then say whats on your mind...

maybe not actual replica's but tracks that are real similiar to them, layout/hills based off of real tracks..

the amateur career is kinda long, maybe one year as a local pro, then 2nd season you can choose sx or another year as a amateur.

i was thinking that you start off with like 10,000 bucks and you can buy a piece of property and build a track on it, or ride a pratice day with your money.. dont you think that would be a little fun addition?

and for the teams, maybe REAL teams for the "good teams"

then blah blah honda for the "not so good teams"

real teams would be considered good and noone would get mad for the "not so good" if they dont exist, then real teams (even if they arent the best teams) would still be considered good.

I do like the idea about Team Yellow etc, sharkmx.. i know what you mean and its a great idea for teams.

Amature Career is a Must ,I would like to see 80s brought into the picture since theyve never done that before ...a couple local tracks would be nice to get noticed

I know, i think 1 season on 85's in amateurs would be fun, then 1 season in 250f amateur, then going pro would be perfectly good.. if you dont like the idea then do arcade mode, *****! haha

i think sponsorships are a must
NOONE HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT ON MTX MOTOTRAX!

Amateur is not a good idea, simply because it would not sell in the market. The rest is pretty good ideas and very possible. Contracts should be up that you have to work for kind of like the Recruiting for NCAA.

Customized graphics!!! I actually wish brakes were necessary in a mx game.

I think the amateur idea is great. But I agree.... only one season. All that was said but more importantly.... You have to use actual SKILL to turn and jump and the gameplay is more realistic (ala MX02). In other words, no more 200 ft. jumps and hauling around a berm at 80mph.:-/

BTW with game technology now, we can play a guy who can shoot someone with a gun, right through walls and such....... so why can't we come up with tracks with berms and lins that SHIFT and change with each lap?:-/

Umm
Mx 2002
Mtx
Supercross Circut (Best MX Game ever made IMO)
All had ameture careers
It would be part of the game not advertized as a Amature MX game

I would personally enjoy amateur career, 85's would be rad..

The whole teams thing, i like the Team Yellow idea, if your good then you get good bikes and if you suck you get crappy bikes...

I still think that real teams should be in the game..

example:
Real Teams?
450 Teams
Team Yamaha
Red Bull Honda
Monster Kawasaki
L&M Yamaha
JGR Yamaha
Makita Suzuki
Geico Honda
MotoXXX
MDK Ktm
Atomic/Cernics Kawasaki
*none of the teams need to be better then the others, all those will be acceptable when your in the 450 class, sponsorship offers will be shuffled.
250f Teams
Makita Suzuki
MDK Ktm
Stay/YOT
PC/Monster Kawasaki
Geico Honda
Xtreme Kawasaki
MotoXXX
*you get the point*
if you SUCK as an amateur and dont get enough points [those points i talk about that you dont know about] then your a privateer... simple as that, no teams are considered bad. then all the real teams seem really good.. even though some will have better/different equiptment. Privateer = pay for everything... make it hard to make it to the pro ranks on this game! its hard to beat games like call of duty 4 or something on veteran, why cant they make a mx game difficult..
all the teams will be equal, everyone's happy..
Amateur Teams?
*blank* Suzuki
*blank* Honda
*blank* Kawasaki
*blank* KTM
*blank* Yamaha

No real teams need to be considered "amateur" teams.. even if they are amateur teams..

+ if your winning, youll get the best parts..

I still think there should be amateur career on this, it is part of real racing.
*physics should be like enhanced physics for mva*
ps: has stephane looked here? id love for our ideas to be in a mx game

amateur is not a bad idea. They just have to make it feel like you're going just as fast on 80s as on the bigger bikes. Speed is relative in mx.

If they did them, make the 85's real snappy on bottom, but just wont pull as long on top.

Does anyone here think the game should have gears? yeah that would be sick.. for starts, start in 2nd, click through the gears to get a good start... make it optional.. "manuel or automatic shifting"
automatic would be one gear.. like on all the other mx games.
I think that would be really fun and realistic, but make it optional for the less advanced players.

Also, i think another option should be injury's. kinda like what they did on skate but you would need to wad reallly hard to get hurt.. It would make you think twice about going for this big new rythm section or larocco's leap.. ahaha if you broke your wrist you wouldnt be able to race like 5 nationals or something.

Tracks should be like the Red Bud Replica that wakestyle made for mva!!!

oh yeah, if you ride for a factory team. you can ride and test at their test track.. testing would be good for the team..

example: dirt to daytona, you could just run the setting stock and race.. or you can spend workless hours testing and dominate everything!!!

remember guys, most of the people who play mx games are kids!!! put 85's in the game, it WOULD sell.. maybe put real kids in the game, it would be soo gnarly.. local kids can "race" against like tomac and be battling with him.. everyone of you probably wished you could have been battling with a certain kid when you were 14.. kids could battle with them in this game.

i kinda have mixed feelings on injuries. it makes it to where you dont just hit a jump wide open. but i also think it would be lame to get hurt in a video game. i get hurt enough in real life as it is!! but there definitely needstobe something to that effect. like if you case a sx triple, it would be hard to finish the race (at full speed)
