View Full Version : I dedicate November to R. Nickell and M. Farley

Here's to my brother who died in November of 2005 at an age far too young. The guy was a stud and I was proud to call him my brother. Another person that left us in the month of November was Matt Farley in November of 2007. For those of you that don't know who he is, he was a regualar poster on this site using the name MXEthix. He had been coming here since 99 or 2000 and was a quality person. He's one of the few people on this forum that I've actually spoken with on the phone. His life was tragically taken when he was riding his dirt bike and collided with his own father who was cresting a hill in a pickup on their property in New York.He was far too young to die.

So, I hereby dedicate the month of November to these two fallen men that will be missed forever.

Jim, like I always say, you are an honorable brother and a good man. May your brother rest in peace. Same goes for Ethix - I wish we would have met up with him at Glen Helen that day. :frown:

I really appreciate your comments Geoff. It means a lot. It's funny you mention Glen Helen. I was thinking of that as I typed the post. It's really too bad we missed him that day.

Right on here is to Matt and R.Nickell sorely missed but never forgotten. JNick I hope your nephew and niece (I think it was nephew and niece) are doing ok thats got to be the hardest part of the whole thing.

Jim, I never met your brother. But you are a stand up guy, and I'm sure he was a wonderful human being. I'm sorry for your loss.

As for Matt, well, I can't believe it's been a year since we've heard from him now. Very sad.

Jim, I am sorry for your loss, you have spoken quite a bit about your brother in the past, and he sounded like an awesome guy. My condolences. I also cant believe that it has already been so long since Matt's passing...

I think it would be cool to have a tab/link on the main page for members, friends, and family that have passed who loved the sport. An "In Memory" page that has links to each individual page for those people we would like to remember. Each individual page could be all pictures, pics and a write up about the person, or anything else you can think of.

What do you think?

I'm sorry to hear about your brother jnick, i can't imagine losing a brother.

and i can't believe it's been a year today since Matthew's accident. It seems like it was just yesterday he was here visiting. RIP Matthew, no one could ask for a better guardian angel.

Man, a whole year has passed yet it still makes me quiet and gets me thinking when someone mentions ethix on here. It's just a shame good people like Matthew and R.Nickell must leave us.....rock on guys!
I can not pretend i know what it is like for you jnick or for Matthews friends and family i just hope i am missed as much when i am gone!

November is Me and Summers anniversary month also. Accually, today the 9th is our 12th anniversary.
