I googled this a bit and all I got was that unless you are a game nerd(not me) or have a movie theater for home entertainment(certainly not me) there isn't any noticable difference in gameplay or graphics from the elite and the classic xbox 360. I'm not sure whether they're calling the 'classic' the 256mb xbox or the 20gb though. Big price difference between the 20 gb and the 256 mb versions so I'm just wondering if anyone knows whether or not there is even much difference between the 20gb or the 256 mb?

Yessums obviously. And probably slightly in running performance I'm just trying to figure out how much difference :)

I dont think you can play the arcade version online. You have to have a harddrive to play.

Hey with not much storage on the 256mb can I still save my game on gta 4 and other games like that?

Try to get one with a harddrive. That way you can play online and not have to worry about having enough space to save things. I think that the elite comes with a 120 GB harddrive. The classic comes with a 20 GB.

Yea I think I'm gona try to buy a friends 20gig thats got something with the visual output wrong that I can probably get for like $100 and get fixed for 1-$200 max then thats my $699 xbox for $300 :) btw Is there any way to make sure I don't get RRoD by just keeping it in a cool, well ventilated space upright or are the ones that RRoD destined to get it at some time, anyway?

Older xboxs have a better chance of getting the rrod because of the chip size. Those things you listed are really the only way you can try to prevent the rrod. There is no way to totally avoid it. Just hope it happens later than sooner.
