LOS ANGELES (AP) — Despite his recently tarnished image, crooner Chris Brown may win an NAACP Image Award.
The 19-year-old singer, who's accused in a domestic dispute that reportedly involves pop superstar Rihanna, is in the running for outstanding male artist at the 40th annual awards. The awards are being presented Thursday night at the Shrine Auditorium and airing on Fox.

you mean besides endorse obama? Proof that all you need in this country is black skin color to avoid scandal in the world of pop-stars. It's funny I'm taking all these race, crime and equality classes at FSU (it's enough to make you gag) then this stuff surfaces and my teachers will not even hint that it is a debatable subject. It seems only white males are capable of despicable crime...

Yeah exactly what I was thinking...:8/

At yearend 2007 there were 3,138 black male sentenced prisoners per 100,000 black males in the United States, compared to 1,259 Hispanic male sentenced prisoners per 100,000 Hispanic males and 481 white male sentenced prisoners per 100,000 white males.

haha, I know I was being sarcastic. My classes are a little ridiculous. Facts are widely used, just opinions of white stereotypical racism towards minorities.

Brown is up for the hotly contested, "beeyotch-slappinest" category.

You guys are RACIST. Stop pointing the differences out. If there are differences it's because of the white man. So lets not bring them up. Instead lets focus on giving them a leg up by setting quotas in our admission and hiring practices.

I think that is a joke and personally if i was black i would take offense. They want equality (or so they say) so give them that not an advantage!

I think you took him wrong Deez, if I were making that statement, I would have finished it with:

"and having it recognized as such by the black community as a whole."

But he could have meant it in an assholish way as well!

Yeah, that could be misconstrued easily....Im just saying that black males are incarcerated at an amazing rate compared to others....I think the few lines before the one I quoted set the tone...as if having black skin color enables you to get off without charge. Thats nuts, Madoff stole 50 billion dollars and he is chilling in his luxury manhattan apartment...this dude only slapped a *****....alot.

That makes total sense. The problem is with the interperatation of what is equal. Equal to you and I is probably the same. Same rules for everyone. To them, they feel as if the same rules aren't applied to everyone and that they are at a disadvantage. Hence, affirmative action and quotas. To them it's fair. It's like a golf handicap.

If they were better workers they would get hired more frequently. More people today care about making a profit than they do racism. They blame racism for their own personal problems. By doing that they just bring down the entire race.

You know why they are incarcerated more? It's because they commit more crimes. Many of them are repeat offenders and the only way to handle them is throwing them in the slammer.

Thats why evaluation based on color is ****ING BULL****! Treat everyone as an individual. Lumping them in based on their color is ****ing ridiculous.
