I am sure everyone has heard of the recent shootings in Alabama and Germany. My fiance goes to school 20 minutes from Stuttgart, where the shooting happened in Germany and maybe that is why this pisses me off. But the "Westboro Baptist Church" is picketing in Germany and Alabama saying God killed all those people because the were Fag enablers. And that Germany needs to repent and all this other bull****. Anyways when do you guys feel that our freedom of speech goes to far? Personally if I saw one of these ****s on the street I would beat them senselessly. What right do they have saying those people deserved to die?

that god hates fags thing is truely disgusting as are the "christians" that protest these types of behavior. These people go to far but thats freedom right?

Its a shame how people claim to represent god and then spew hate. Im not going any further into this conversation though

I know that religion is a huge debate here, almost as huge as Devin's supercross debut but seriously how can you say that God hates you because you are gay or that you deserved to die. I thought God is supposed to love everyone. Should they hate me because I have brown hair? I would rather have neo nazi's in this country than these people. At least the neo's stay in the back woods, bang their cousins, and for the most part keep to themselves

As much as I hate these weirdo's, we have rights for a reason. We are a free country and your right to free speech ends when you are making direct threats. They are not doing that. Remember, its your right to hate these people back. It is them, who run the risk of an angry mob chasing them down with baseball bats and beating them senseless. Which I would love to see, haha. They give us religious people a bad name, making people assume that's how all god fearing people think.

Seriously I know that many people here don't agree with it but I am a christian. These people are why everyone hates us now. I hope their kids turn out gay (which I have no stance on) and they get beat down at one of their rallies. Sorry for all the venting but it just gets my blood boiling especially when they talk about service members too

Ya, I have a bro who just returned from Iraq, its hard when you see these people on the news, (the media loves to show them off). Judgment day comes for everyone at some point. I wonder if Saint Peter is going to make them point our where it says "god hates fags" in the bible before he kicks them of a cliff into hell. Haha.

These people are absolute idiots. So are the press that chases them around hearing what they have to say. They spew the same garbage everywhere they go. For every outlandishly stupid thing said/done by these kind of nut jobs there are thousands of good deeds performed by genuine/loving christians all over the world. However depicting the truth instead of chasing these knuckle heads all over the globe isnt newsworthy.:no:

Them protesting at Iraq vet. funerals really makes my blood boil.

Something about Americans being disrespectful to the people that put themselves on the line for this country really gets me worked up. If I knew those people were going to be protesting a funeral I would gladly take a night in jail to go and beat some ass.

Ya, disrespecting our troops, especially dead troops, makes me only wish they trip in a puddle of aids while their family dies in a house fire.

I guess they attempted a rally in buffalo, NY after the plane crash that happened there last month. Within 5 minutes they were surrounded by 200 or so anti-protestors and left with their tails between their legs. I wish I had known. I would have been much less peaceful than the people that showed up to run them out

Those yahoos have been doing this since the beginning of the war. A few good things that have come out of it is that new legislation has been passed in many municipalities prohibiting them from being within a certain distance of the funerals. Also, probably the best thing that has spawned from all this, and truly shows that there are awesome people all over this country, is the formation of the Patriot Guard Riders. Patriot Guard Riders' Mission Statement

Our Mission http://www.patriotguard.org/images/min.gif
(http://javascript:__doPostBack('dnn$ctr841$dnnVISIBILITY$cmdVisibil ity',''))Patriot Guard Riders Mission Statement

The Patriot Guard Riders is a diverse amalgamation of riders from across the nation. We have one thing in common besides motorcycles. We have an unwavering respect for those who risk their very lives for America’s freedom and security. If you share this respect, please join us.
We don’t care what you ride or if you ride, what your political views are, or whether you’re a hawk or a dove. It is not a requirement that you be a veteran. It doesn't matter where you’re from or what your income is; you don’t even have to ride. The only prerequisite is Respect.
Our main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives:

Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.
Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protestors.
We accomplish the latter through strictly legal and non-violent means.
To those of you who are currently serving and fighting for the freedoms of others, at home and abroad, please know that we are backing you. We honor and support you with every mission we carry out, and we are praying for a safe return home for all.

People that put their lives on the line for this country are some of the finest people in our country. Anyone disrespecting them gets hell from me.

Their leader should be dying soon. I think everyone should go a protest his funeral. "God hates liars who use him to scare people" sounds like a good sign Or a nice picture of him photoshopped burning in hell. I would love to see their reactions

Don't mean to sound like a ****** but surely by saying that you are as bad as them??
I mean "wishing" (thats quite a strong emotion) that they get aids which is possibly one of the worst ways to die is harsh. Then saying you wish their family, which might have no affiliation with them, die in a house fire?? Really?
What happened to forgiveness and allowing God the only one to judge them?!

So I am supposed to love people who spit hate and disrespect? Why should I care what happens to those jerk off Anti American POS's. They don't respect the people who give them the right to run their mouth's. Sure it's there right, just as it is my right to wish the worst on them. They obviously don't care about grieving families who did not play a direct role in the war as I do not care about their families who may not play a direct role in their beliefs. Eye for an eye baby!

So here you have used another bible quote/belief to make your actions justified. Do you not feel it contradicts the main message a little? The message of global love and peace with forgiveness to all and that to judge someone is not your job but that of gods. That is the message right or am i missing something? Come on man if i was to write that as an Atheist i would be bashed for being a religion hating inflammatory ****e. But because you are religious and can justify it using quotes from the bible thats alright?

This is all i am going to say on this subject because i don't want a reputation of being pedantic. :obrien:
