Lookin at a new helmet and i can get a white one for a really good price brand new. Just wondering if anyone has that helmet. I have been wearing cheaper helmets ever since i started riding. The most I payed for a dirt helmet was 199 retail so I'm excited on getting a nice helmet.
Thanks

They are so sick. I have worn Shoei for 3 or 4 years now and this is the best one yet. The venting and weight is good and the molding in the back is nice for holding your goggle strap. I do have 3 complaints though. The venting on the top can't be closed and it has a recessed screen in it so when it gets mud down in there you either have to get it soupy to come out or dig at it with something sharp. The molding on the bottom back sticks down a little and hits my Leatt so I had to adjust it down. Finally, the white piping that comes on them stains easy and is hard to get clean. The piping around the bottom and the optional nose guard they come with is now cream colored on mine but I have been riding in a lot of southeastern clay. Besides those 3 small things, I love them.

I can deal with the white molding. I never had a problem with my msr helmet with white molding, but then again I don't live where the dirt is red and stains stuff. It's pretty hot in the summer so those vents will help and whenever it gets muddy just tape them up. Sounds like an amazing helmet. I'm really just found of how it looks and couldn't turn down the offer I can get. Hopefully after I try one on I will fall in love with it and never have to buy another brand again ;-)

The have the older style and the only complaint I have is that it doesn't suck up sweet as much as a v3.
My next helmet will be a shoei but

I saw one of the solid white ones today at the track and they have black trim and piping. All my complaints are little and really aren't that big of a deal. I can't comment about soaking up sweat because I wear one of those beanie things but the padding sure is soft. :-D

I'm now thinking about getting the K-dub replica. I really love the paint scheme. If it's not too much more I'll have that one.

It's a sweet helmet. I was looking at that one too. I like the design and the fit, but it is really difficult to get it on my head (a problem I have with most Shoeis.) The helmet fits just fine once it's on, but a Shoei must have a smaller opening than an Arai does.

Arai said in a TWMX interview they will not get into a price war over a rider. If a rider wants more money they can go to inferior brand.

I think Arai and Shoei are pretty much equal it just depends on what kind of helmet shape you like, design you want, and the shape of your head.

I agree. I think Arai's philosophy is a little more "no compromises," though.

I got told by Arai Rep here that not one in the world gets paid by Arai as they dont believe in paying the people to use the ebst products, thats why i wonder why Kdub changed

I am thinking KBC makes MSR helmets. On sizing charts I found on the net KBC is listed with Answer, O'neal, and MSR helmets so that's what I would assume since the sizing is the same.

If you have a round head get a Shoei. If you have an oval head, don't. Get an Arai.
Either way, you will never want to wear anything else. The noise canceling, liner, and light weight make them priceless. Good call rocking the cue-ball too.

It's actually the opposite. Arais fit round heads better.

Either way after last weekends ride i'm getting my suspension re-valved instead. it beat me to hell and back and I was only able to ride 4-5 laps at a time without my arms aching and feeling sore already. I'll be letting race-tech do my stuff because there is a local guy here that does good work. I'm going for more of a GNCC style re-valve. The suspension on this was for a 125lb B rider. I'm 150lb and A rider in woods and a top C rider on the track.
