New bike today

I go to this track to practice and the owner decided to sell his bike.

2006 YZ125 for $1500. It still has the stock tires on it barely worn and came with Pro Circuit exhaust, V-force, ASVs, Powernow carb inserts and a few other things. Figured it was a good deal. It needs a little love but nothing major. It's been 2 years since I rode one of these things. :uhoh::uhoh:

I tried it out a few laps before I bought it. I forgot how fun they were but riding it makes me want to wear a cup. It sounds like the piston is going to shoot through the tank at any second and castrate me.

Either that's a hell of a deal or I've been fooling myself. I've got an 05 yz125 and have considered selling it to get a yz250. I haven't really looked around to see what they're going for but that sounds like a steal. Have fun and post some pics!

I think A_H just got a really good deal. I found a 07 125 for about 2,000 that I was real tempted to get.

I was riding a buddies 125 for a little while and they are fun as hell. But after being on a 250 and four strokes I thought I was gonna blow the puppy up every lap, and im not even fast.

Now that it's clean I'm going to finish taking the rest of it apart to grease everything and put some fork seals in. Should be ready to go. I wish I would have thought to take a picture of the K&N air filter that was in it. It's caked in black stuff.

Whats that on your footpeg? One of those inserts that settles the airflow? Thought they were only sold for 4 strokes... And the end of your carb looks weired for some reason (is it tape)..

125s weight too much as it is so I had to lighten it a little so I told him he could keep the plastics if he threw in the peg board. He was all for it and said he was going to mount them on his lawnmower.
Walters that is one of those Powernow carb inserts. I'm not really sure it will do much and I didn't even know it had them until I pulled the thing apart. I guess I'm going to keep it in there. I put tape over the carb because there are birds in the garage and I didn't want them to drop anything in there or take a dump down my carb. :lol:

I ghetto rigged some numbers on it after I got it all back together. I had some backgrounds from my old bikes stuck to my closet door so I stuck them on and pretty much melted them with a hairdryer.
