You guys flamed Dane Cook pretty hard, now it seems like Jeff Dunham is getting pretty popular. Im not gonna lie, im a fan of Dane Cook, but I just dont get Dunham. Most skits he has are either stolen, something you would jus say to your buddies, or just plain not funny. Anybody on here actually like him?

He doesn't have the deepest comedy, but he's a very impressive ventriloquist and his characters are both interesting and hilarious in my opinion.

His ventriloquism is without a doubt top notch, I just think he isnt funny

Ya I thought the "Shut up, I kill you" bit was funny the first time I heard it, and I think he is a really good vantriloquist, but his stand-up and his show are very boring, imo... I've watched a little and he might get a half assed chuckle out of me maybe once in the whole show, but if you've heard it once, you've heard it all and there's not much to it.

i love how he is constantly breaking the fourth wall. I duno, his act intrigues me without boring me, so I'm down. not my fav comedian by any stretch though.

I have to say he is funny, but I couldn't watch his show every week. I'm more of a Gabriel Iglesias fan myself

Jeff Dunham sucks. He sucks ass. His brand of ****ty humor seems right at home in some kind of dystopian Idiocracy-esque future society. You think he's funny? Remove the puppets and then tell me how ****ing funny it is. I don't hear you laughing now.

If he had to stand on stage and tell jokes without his hand up a puppet's ass, he'd be nothing. Sorry if I'm coming on a little strong, but I can't stand that people actually find this guy hilarious enough that he needs multiple comedy specials and a TV show. I mean seriously, all he does is a back-and-forth with a few generic characters mixed with some racism, homophobia, xenophobia, and terrible, criminally bad jokes. The worst part is that he entertains theaters full of adults with puppets. Think about that for a second. That's kindergarten ****.
His act makes Dane Cook's comedy seem cerebral. He makes Larry The Cable Guy appear almost transcendent.

Wow Patrick... tell us how you really feel, haha. The only part I really disagree with is that if you take away the puppets, that he's not funny anymore... only because I don't think he's even funny with the puppets. Most of his jokes are one liners that I've heard many times in just BS'ing with friends or acquaintances, and occasionally he throws in one that I haven't heard (which might get a chuckle out of me the first time) but I feel like he probably didn't make it up. It's kind of like that guy you work with that always has the same stories to tell and they weren't really all that good the first time you heard them.

I think you misinterpreted what I said. I wouldn't even pretend to laugh at his jokes if he put a gun to my head and forced me to, puppets or not. The part about him not being funny without puppets was directed at people who actually like this jerk-off. I'm just saying that his fans would abandon him pretty quickly if he didn't have his whole retard puppet routine.
I'm way above this guy's "comedy" and I don't even feel like a dick saying that. If I found a girl that I thought was perfect for me and she admitted to being a Jeff Dunham fan, I would think less of her. If I was drugged and woke up in the theater where one of his specials was being taped, I can say with confidence that I would be the smartest person there, even if the drugs had not yet fully worn off. If the cold war was still on, the Soviets captured me under suspicion of espionage, and their only method of torture was forcing me to watch Jeff Dunham, I'd give away every national secret I could think of before we even got to the dungeon. I'd pledge my allegiance to mother Russia and comrade Lenin just to make it stop. If both of my kidneys failed and the only willing donor match was Jeff Dunham, I'd choose dialysis.
People shouldn't tolerate such profound ****tiness.

If I'm not mistaken, Kilgore (close to Longview) has an adult drive-in. Not sure if it's still there, but they had one a few years back.

Surely there wouldn't be that many people showing up... maybe you can get a little room between yourself and the other dudes jerking off. Either way it would prolly be better than sitting through a Jeff Dunham show.

He was here this last saturday doing a live show, and I couldn't fathom sitting through one of his shows. His material is very shallow, patrick said it best very idiocracy-esque. simple minded people are into that stuff.
On another note I absolutely cannot stand any movie that seth rogan has any part of. If any actors on his movie family tree is an a flick I hate watching it. Super bad, knocked up, sara marshal, the hangover, zach and miri, pineapple express ect ect. Can't seem to find what people like about dimwit crap like that.

I like it because that's how real people interact for the most part. I don't mean exactly, but in general the characters in Judd Apatow movies are motivated by real things, like using humor to diffuse awkward situations and such. I'd say it's very debatable as to whether or not that humor is actually 'dimwitted'. I usually reserve that word for **** like Scary Movie or anything that has the word Movie at the end of it. Or ****ty blockbusters.

Micheal Bay is a gigantic joke. The editing in that movie was the worst I've ever seen. The tempo was so damn off-putting.

Ok maybe dimwitted wasn't the best word to use, the first few movies may have had their strokes of cleaverness, but they arent exactly comical genius either.

Nah, it's just funny people being funny, with a generic but relatable plot driving that, haha.
