Pretty scary.

We have received a lot of email in support of Grant after being on DMXS last week.It appears the same vision problem that sidelined the Zulu Warrior for most of the Supercross season has reemerged after his latest crash. “In all honesty, there are three things that need to get better. It’s my eye, head, and collar bone. My head and collar bone aren’t much of a concern at this point so it’s really just my eye and it’s a big concern for me. It was getting better before I knocked my head again. About six weeks ago I had a concussion riding at my track in Florida and when I broke my collar bone I got another concussion. My vision actually got worse since then so it’s a concern and I’m looking at every possible option.”

He added, “With the eye, I haven’t had a whole lot of guidance with it and it’s getting a little nerve racking since it’s your vision. The other scary thing is that some of my crashes contributed towards having less than 100% vision. This is something I need to get sorted out and I’m a little lost and searching and trying to find anyone that people have recommended. Hopefully it's something that will heal up and won’t give me an issue because I hate to say it, but if it doesn’t improve, realistically, it may be the end of my racing career. I’m crossing my fingers and hoping that’s not the case and it will improve or find a way to fix it, but the last few months have been kind of tough.”

His vision is no doubt related to his concussion. Concussions are compounded so each one is twice as bad as the last and there is still alot they do not know about them. Best Wishes for Grant.

Wow that sucks. Hope he makes a full recovery, I couldn't imagine having only partial or zero vision.

Thats a huge bummer. I thought he switched to bell because they were super safe. He must of had a slam, because I'm no stranger to concussions, and I crashed and broke the inner shell of my Bell and didn't get a (serious) cuncussion. I hope he can figure out his vision situation thats got to be super frustrating, especially since hes defending champ.

His vision for the average joe is good, its the reaction of his eye that he is having problems with and for racing where everything changes real fast it doesnt work. Imagine putting a book right in front of your eye and then pulling it away fast, his eyes dont adjust very fast.
