living in east tn. ( knoxville area ) we dont get to see to much snow so when we do get some it gets pretty interesting. watching people "TRY" to drive up the hill in front of my house. funny all the little cars can make it (barely but they make it) but the 4x4 trucks slide everywhere! haha. had one truck slide into the power pole in front of house and had another ALMOST slide down our front yard into the house. aint it great!

Ha, i always like watching idiots drive in the snow unless Im stuck behind them.
BTW your lucky, seems like we've had snow on the ground for over a month and it just keeps coming. I want it to stop so i can go out and fly the new RC heli i got for x-mas but i dont wanna do it in the snow

i love snow but we never get it. what kinda heli you got? nitro or electric. i fly a lil myself. still learning on single rotor tho. havent flown in a bit tho cuz im waiting to get part i need to do repairs. a wind gust took in to a tree an it broke the main frame. gonna be like 50 bucks in parts which isnt bad but i dont have it now

e-flite Blade CP pro electric. Its a single rotor and from what I hear its not the best one to fly for the first time so im guessing it will end in a twisted mess. Im pretty patient and good at video games so im hoping those skills carry over to heli flying haha

i almost got a cp pro but my guy at the local hobby store said they are working phasing out the cp pro with the cp pro 2 so i decided to wait on getting one. imma try to get something like this. 2009 Esky Honey Bee King 3 (http://www.xheli.com/20eski36chrc1.html)
i want something a bit bigger thats easier to fly outside and so far in my experience bigger is easier to fly for a few reasons. they have alot more weight so they are more stable and they have alot more power to make it easier to control with the wind. plus they are alot easier to see when they get a bit away from you.

That thing looks pretty beefy. I have heard that the heavier the better which is not looking good for me cause this cp is awfully light. I have also been told numerous times by experienced heli fliers that I should have gone with a dual rotor as my first as they are way more stable. I didnt have much choice though. I got this one as a xmas gift from my buddy. He actually bought it a few years ago and he lacks any patience or hand eye coordination. I guess when he was ready to fly it, it just kept tipping over everytime it got close to taking off so he got the bright idea to just floor it, send it up about 40ft and try to gain control before it hit the ground. Needless to say, that was the last time it saw any action. Now he gave it to me and ive tore it apart piece by piece and actually had a great time repairing it.
Now the hard part is having the patience to wait for some snow to melt and a windless day. I just wanna fly this damn thing!

lol. i know that feeling. i had to wait for almost 2 months for the rain and wind to stop to fly mine. i started with a co-axial heli and it made a big difference. they aren't as responsive and dont have the agility of a single rotor but deff stable and a good learning point. i still have it now. waiting on a some parts for it too. let my brother fly it and he hit the house with it. its the blade cx 2. i mainly keep it inside for when its bad weather but it was soo nice outside i took it out and well it hasnt been the same since then. ive somewhat flown the one you have, and its deff a good heli and good one for learning single rotor basics and for when you get a lil more advanced. just takes time. do you have the training gear? it will make it alot easier for learning hovering it, take off and landing. i got all sorts of websites for parts and helpful info if you need it.

yeah, im seriously considering getting the training gear. Thats the four rods with the ping pong looking balls on em right? I think they def would help. I really wish I had access to a gymnasium or some other large building as that would be a perfect learning spot.
You ever fly any RC planes? I was looking at a few last time I went to the hobby shop for parts and they look pretty cool. They have some good learning ones like the piper cub i believe. All Styrofoam body and I guess there is not a single part that cost more than 15$ to replace.

yea thats the landing gear. if i still had mine id just send it to you or take close up pics for you so you could make your own. havent flown any planes but i want to. alot of the guys i know have offered to let my fly theres but just havent taken the offer. if your looking for a good co-axial check craigs list. i see them all day long on there for like 80 to 100 new. the co-axial i have is still 170 new
