Alright so I've got a Creative 7.1 speaker set up on my pc along with a creative soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS sound card.

I've got two speakers that I would like to eventually connect to my pc but am clueless as to how I would go about doing it. The best scenerio would be having the 2 additional speakers play along with the other 7 but I'm not sure if this is possible. I would be content with just being able to hook up the two speakers alone also.

If anyone has any ideas or input it would be greatly appreciated as I am clueless with audio equipment. I understand that I will probably need some more equipment to make this happen so just tell me what you know!

What is your goal? Do have your library of music on your pc, so you want to play it through real speakers? Or do you just want a decent little set-up when you are using your pc?

I've got a large library which isn't the problem because its all on an ipod so I can just connect it to my stereo.

I would just like to have some extra power from my PC to play music.

I dont know a lot about it, but I think you may want to look into a better sound card...I think that would make a ton of difference.

I've already got a pretty dope soundcard that puts out some good **** but i just want to hook up speakers with more power.

That would work if it's actually a desktop. Unless things have changed recently, you can't update that type of stuff on laptops. I doubt it helps, but I have a set of Creative speakers with a sub that I got for $60 and it has enough to piss off the neighbors...

What model are the surround sound speakers and the other 2 you are wanting to use?

The other 2 are Aiwa speakers that come with a Cx-na909 if that means anything. 9 ohms with 150 watts.

The other speakers are Creative Inspire P7800 90 Watts 7.1 Speakers
