What do you guys think? Looks cooler than the other electric bikes I've seen. KTM definitely isn't afraid to look ahead and think outside of the box. I'm also curious how they'll do with the 350. I hear there might be issues with Alessi and the KTM team though. Anyone else hear anything about that or is it just rumors?

Rumor has it KTM and Alessi have split. Either way the KTM Electric bike looks badass and eventually will be in my garage.

Looks pretty cool. Made me think tho, I seriously can't imagine going into a first turn with 40 other guys IN TOTAL SILENCE. A day at the races with no motor noise would certainly take some getting used to.

They could make them have some sort of sound; even the electric cars at K1 Speed sound like race cars.

Oh there'd be sound... it would just be the clanking sound of the suspension compressing and bikes bumping each other and roost hitting people. I bet riding one of those would be really unnerving because of the fact that you could hear everything. Not to mention how weird it would be to not have a clutch. I would imagine that rolling on the throttle and keeping the revs up and stuff would be completely different.

An electric motor has a totally different power delivery. Since it basically has maximum torque at all revs, a clutch would be useless. Throttle control would do the job without falling off the pipe.

That's a guaranteed holeshot against a standard combustion engine right now. I don't know how well it would do for the rest of the race, but in supercross especially, the start is everything.

The thing only does like 42mph or 70kpm which isnt where it needs to be specially in national races. On the plus side i know some state parks would allow this on there trails because it having the option to switch its stop speed to the speed limit for moutain bike trails.
