I saw this yesterday. Amazing act of patriotism. Looks like he lives a crappy life as a homeless man, but has not turned his back on his country. I wish I knew how I could send this guy a care package or something.

It's more about the principal of the matter. Showing respect for your country no matter how bad your situation is. But I agree, seems like their making a bigger deal out of it than it really is. Although it's nice to hear some good things in the news every once in a while rather than the constant fear mongering normally covered by the media.
