Need Ideas for new Web Site Name!

In 30 days, my ownership of 271mxproductions.com will be up. I have long been sick of this domain name and have wanted to change it. I want something much more broad and without a number in it. I cover much more than motocross, so I was wanting some kind of name with "media" or something to that effect in it. I've thought of lots of different things but can't come up with anything that I really like at all.

Anybody have any ideas?

Zach, that's definitely a cool name but I'm trying to stray away with a name that is moto-related in any way.. I'm wanting it to be a broad name.

Kyle, I had thought of that a while back and I definitely liked it the best. I may end up going with that but I'm not sure yet. I thought it would be cool to come up with some neat word/slogan, then media. I like how Tyler used his name for 10fore.com. I thought about mediafromhale.com or something haha. But idk.. I'll keep thinking on the subject.

coming up with things with media is hard to do with out throwing your name. The best media name I have heard was mattmillermedia.com but he has all m's lol so it works. Maybe Halemedia.com or cohalmedia.com

Yeah I like all the M's. It makes it easy to remember and that's really what I want is a name that's easy to pronounce and remember. I don't want people staring at the name trying to figure out where words separate. I thought about just my name (codyhale.com) but some gay company already has it. If you type it in, you'll see what I'm talking about. You can offer to buy it, but I wasn't entirely sure that's what I wanted just yet.

I haven't decided on that for sure, but if I get it.. or any other domain.. yes! Haha I hate to mooch logos off people but I suckkkk at anything Photoshop. I can see stuff great in my head but I can't put it together in that dang program.

First off, I need to figure out how to somehow get all of my FTP files from my 271mxproductions.com to whatever my new domain will be. I don't want to have to delete everything.

Read, practice, think, read, practice. You can do it. Took me a while, but I've gotten way better at PS (actual PS'ing from scratch like below, no photo editing) lately just by working at it. :-D :thumbsup:

As for the file recovery, download Fetch FTP client and use the 'get' feature. It's for grabbing/backing up files.

Although easy to remember, I'm just ready to ditch the number thing. It holds no significance except for the fact that it was the number I used on my dirt bike.. and I hardly even ride anymore. I just want something more professional looking.

The number photog thing is played out in my opinion. Thats what everyone does. They havnt all been replaced yet, but on the old board, every other user had ###photography.com, or ###designs.com, etc.

I think it is a better idea to set yourself apart from everyone else and come up with a professional name.

A pencil and paper is good for that sort of thing. Often times what looks good in your head looks like crap in physical form. Pencil/paper is good to quickly see that and to quickly iterate over and over. Then you can take it to photoshop.

If you're sticking with the same web host, you will not need to do anything with your files. Wherever you register the domain (such as GoDaddy), you will log in and set the DNS Server of your new domain to the same as your old domain. It will likely be dns1.yourHostName.com, dns2.yourHostName.com etc. etc. It's really easy.

Cool, I am sticking with startlogic.com as my web host. And actually my ownership of 271mx.com is not up until October of this year. It was only 271mxproductions.com that is up on June 29.. and I couldn't care less about that domain. So I'm in luck and don't have to be in a super hurry to get this new domain name sorted out.
