I played it a lot. My connection always got messed up in the zone, so I just raced my ghosts. Towards the end, people started making awesome freestyle tracks with custom objects, 50 trails, BMX trails, and everything. Plus there was the trick editor, the bike model utility, backflip no-crash hack, etc. Good times.
Anyone remember doing tabbed backflips? Haha that was gay. For those that don't know, MCM2 wouldn't let you rotate past a certain point or the rider would fall off the bike (the game came out before anyone had done a backflip). You'd have to set yourself up in front of a ramp, hit tab which would reset your position, then hit the ramp and pull back. There was a small delay that would let you get a rotation going. It was really hard to do and usually ended up looking stupid because the rider would go all off-axis and stuff. It was fun, though.

oh man i spent alooot of hours with that game. alot mva'ers have no idea what a community it was. from spodeboy banging out those sx replica's to mikemach's national reps. The online lobby zone provided allowed the community to thrive with hundreds on at a time, literally.
With every "next gen" mx game released, it's sad to slowly realise that something like that may never happen again. The mx unleashed res files and tracks from TD were the last blast in terms of the solid community it was.I was lucky enoug to be on team RXR and HAB for a while there, before the game slowly faded away when zone was shut down, i was devestated when the ttm recorder shut down aswell, damn i had some sh*thot records on that baby.
jus found a cool cached link

towards the "end of days" for mcm2, probably one of the last tourneys i entered, i can't find anything else older than that :(

I was on team XFR, went by BeRm_BuSteR12 and then XFR_BeRm... i had countless #1 records on ttm recorder, mostly wide open outdoor nats and a few supercross tracks.. never liked the outdoor replicas much, just wasnt very good with them
i played that game a **** load.. the record that sticks out most in my mind is the 39.08 i layed down on the stock nat Voodoo... i worked for that one.
BTW I found this link that holds all the old TTM records....

man...bringing back memories now, I palyed that game every day for the longest time...I had some records on MCM2central for DIZ_NoRebase's tracks that he recreated from the SX seasons...those were the best.
I remember playing it a lot with ronron members, I tried playing it a year ago and I think you have to pay to play on the zone now.
Greatets game ever IMO, the unleashed versions are awesome now but back then that was THE game to have!
weas...

something about that game that made it great is the ability to find new lines no matter how good you were.
I spent hours upon hours just trying to hit certain lines to get 1/10th of a second faster. It was like if you were one inch over, your time would change or you could get enough speed to hit a insane jump, then after landing that jump, you would have enough speed to clear the whole damn track.
I dunno, these new games don't have that feel. The tracks are figured out in a few laps.

still the best game ever. i used to have a few quick times posted on mcm central. you would do like 50 laps just trying to shave half a second off. awesome game.
remember way back on here we had a few of us on ronron's backyard.
good times
