I like the selection. France is going to be tough, but I think we can do it.

I like the selection too. Although, when I was watching Undadilla this weekend, I did notice that Short went backwards quite a bit. Most of the guys that passed him were not from the USA but KDub got him too (KDub on the team instead?) . And that's after a great start. I have faith in him though. He should be fine in his home state of Colorado.

Shorty has been on a 2nd-moto choke pattern lately. That should be just fine, since one moto gets thrown out and the other two guys are both very consistent. The only other guys I'd consider are Stewart, Tommy Hahn and Kyle Regal, and I think Short is more solid than any of them.

id be tempted to put KDub over Short, but Thunder is a track that Shorty shines at. If the race was anywhere else im not sure id bring short

Solid team. Dungey and Canard are peeking at the perfect time. Short is a solid 3rd guy, he'll do well. Even with this team though, the Belgins, French, Aussies will be solid too. Canard and Pourcel will be a great battle!

USA
Ryan Dungey
Trey Canard
Andrew Short
FRANCE
Christophe Pourcel
Marvin Musquin
Xavier Boog
Ryan Dungey vs Christophe Pourcel
I think Dungey has the confidence and although Pourcel does too I can see Dungey whooping everyone at MXDN just like the nationals, especially late in the moto. Remember Pourcel fades in the 2nd motos, well, can he even go 35+ on a 450, and another moto?! Yeah, none of you have thought of that huh?
MX1 Prediction: Ryan Dungey (1-1) _ Christophe Pourcel (2-4)
MX1 Wildcard: Chad Reed (Australia)
Trey Canard vs Marvin Musquin
Trey Canard is on a role right now, but Marvin Musquin is on a bigger roll!! (soon to be) 2x MX2 World Champion will be tough to beat, but at the same time.. Canard will be solid at the end of those motos too.
MX2 Prediction: Marvin Musquin (2-3) _ Trey Canard (1-2)
MX2 Wildcard: Dean Wilson (Great Britain)
Andrew Short vs Xavier Boog
Although Short fades at the end of those motos, Xavier Boog is inconsistant.. At the end of the day Short will get the job done and I think Boog will ruin France' hopes.
MX3 Prediction: Andrew Short (3-3) _ Xavier Boog (5-DNF)
MX3 Wildcard: Brett Metcalfe (Australia)
