Did anyone else read the blog cited in the article? The blogger is a bouncer. You have to skip through all the semi-sentimental bull-**** to read any posts about "bouncing", but I thought it was hilarious. These guys act like they're tougher than Al Capone yet all their stories involve beating up fake gangsters from, of all places, Long Island.

Even more astonishing is that the kids from Long Island, drunk or sober, actually try to fight the bouncers. I'm not a small dude , six foot four/210 pounds (not a giant, but I can certainly hold my own), and I would never dream of attempting to fight a bouncer. You can't win, there are simply more of them. I just don't understand it.

What ever happened to going to a seedy bar and getting drunk with your 'mates? When did the definition of a good time become packing yourself into - and paying hundreds if dollars for the chance, no less - a crowded New York club

That should answer your question.

Another reason why the West Coast is better.

I wish they would all just die. More room for the "real" animals out on LI. Not those orange air stealers.

We have them over here too - except we call them sluts. I don't know about you, but preying on extremely drunk and horny women seems a little desperate and pathetic to me.

Fine, I concede. But next time you "prey" on a drunk girl, you must eat her head at the end of the night - just like the lion would. ;-)
