Seen that on the news not long ago, a 150 thousand dollar promotion stint. Can't wait to see what the series is going to be like. yeew. :rockon:

It's going to be sweet!

The only thing is how much he will beat the rest of the guys by.

The last time he was here he could could only finish 1 SX race thanks to a grenading transmission but in the race he finished he lapped the entire field and almost second place.

And our tracks are very small and tight compared to the US. Hopefully that will changed!

yeah that should be awesome haha kind of a lame way to promote it though haha setup a 40ft dirt double jump it turn around and jump it again lol as long as it draws a croud i suppose!

hopefully for you guys the track is sick and everything goes smoothly. nothing worse than a race gone bad after paying good money for tickets.

i honestly wish those guys would just ride both series. i think Alessi would have Reed covered this year and Windham would put up a good challenge for Alessi

alessi on reed? is he really that quick in outdoors? i mean he just came off a pretty **** sx season.

I guess Alessi was still riding the Lites class when Reed raced his last outdoors season but I can't see him staying with Reed outdoors. When Reed raced outdoors Bubba and RC were out in front of him and then there was 30 secs back to K-Dub Millsaps Ferry Lewis etc.

Take Southwick for example.
Bubba finished 4 secs in front of RC, then CR was 5 secs behind RC and 4th place Millsaps was 38 secs behind Reed.

Budds Creek was worse. Chad finished 2nd 24 secs behind RC but was 1minute and 14secs ahead of Millsaps in 3rd in moto1. Moto2 and Reed beat Kindham in 3rd by 1min 20 secs.

And for those that say he's been away from outdoors he's lost some speed. Must be just like he did in 07 when he came back over there to prepare for the MXdN at Budds Creek.

He was 3rd behind RC and Bubba and 36 secs ahead of Ferry in 4th in the first moto. In the 2nd moto Reed was 2nd to RC and ahead of 3rd place Millsaps by 1 min and 10 secs.

so if my calculations are correct..... Chad Reed should still be faster than Mike Alessi in outdoors.

Demon, I am taking an educated guess at the speed of the 450 class. It's only my own opinion but I think Reed has everyone covered outdoors in the US accept JS and RC when he raced. The results I used were to try and show the difference in speed to CR versus the rest when he did race outdoors.

I just don't think Mikey could race with Reed.

I guess we'll see when Reed comes back to get ready for the MXdN. I will eat my words if Mike beats him. :thumbsup:

Thing is you can never tell things like fatigue come into play, starts, and the rabbit in front of the greyhound factor. I think Alessi would be right there with Chad chasing James but no matter Reed is SX only and soon James will be too.

James will be too? IMO if i was james i would keep racing outdoors if anything, theres almost a certainty of a championship there unless ofcourse injury, crashes, bad starts etc..... However i would like to see james now in sx up against Chad mainly just to see how much speed (if any) chad has picked up in SX

Reed worked his ass off in the off season this year. He was ready for Stewy thats for sure and if he would have raced the outdoors Stewy would be going faster and Chad would be ahead of Alessi by 20 seconds instead of Stewy.

im not saying anything bad about reed, and i cant say that alessi would beat reed because we dont know..

i dont think reed would SMOKE alessi, i think alessi and reed would swap positions throughout the season.

I know exacly how fast Alessi is outdoors, and I dont think he is beating Reed. I like Alessi so its not like I am bashing him, its just that I know how fast Reed is also.

We will find out towards the end of the year and if Mikey wins, them I dont know ****.

Yes alessi is fast outdoors but i still think reed would smoke him by at least 10 seconds plus... Like MotoSquid said i dont think he has forgotten how to ride outdoors....

Exactly.

Everyone assumed he would come back and would be out of shape at Budds Creek but he smoked everyone but the top 2. Alessi has picked it up but not to the standard where Reed was, IMO.

i only said that so i didn't have to say/defend my opinion hahaha. I just wish Reed would ride outdoors. It just seems that it is going away when big names like Reed and Windham, now Stewart sign (so i have read) Supercross only deals. I don't blame them of course, more money is more money. I just am a fan of the outdoors.

reed would make alessi look silly outdoors. if reed was in it, it would be stewart, reed, and then the big battle for 3rd place. with alessi taking those third place honors most of the time. keep in mind, i dont like chad reed. but you gotta speak the truth.. and i dont see alessi being anywhere near him.
