The thread about President Kennedy got me thinking about the year I was born and a cool Christmas gift I saw: newspaper reprints of standout events from the year you were born. Here are some of the pertinent things from my year, 1971. What are yours?

I remember all of that as well. I was OUT of highschool. Jeez, I was in the military and 1990 was my first year as a daddy. Time flys kids.

As much of a hard time as I get for being old, I don't think I've ever taken the time to stop and tell you thank you for taking more heat than me for being even older. Thanks Jnickell!:lol:

Holy hell, that "pocket hifi" thing was like the original MP3 player haha. I bet some people would pay some serious cash for one of those in working condition
