waiting....
{cold}
We might even get some snow by Friday. It was 80 over the weekend, and 75 even yesterday and now it's freezing and our wind chill might drop below zero overnight. I know that sounds weak for some of you, but I'm not used to it and it sucks for me. I live way south for a reason, I HATE WINTER.:scared::roflmao:
I don't know how you guys deal with that much snow! Granted, at least you know how to function in it, as this place will shut down if we get an inch or maybe less. If you have ever seen some of these people drive in it that grew up here you would know why though. I stay in for fear of other drivers....if you can even consider what they are doing as driving!:no:

This time two years ago we had several inches of ice and then 6 inches of snow. I didn't have electricity for 3 weeks and we was some of the first people in the county with power. We had our Freightliner service truck backed up to the porch running our house off it's generator. Every house I have will have gas heat, stove and water heater. We was lucky.
Case you should live in Ky. It does that about every two weeks. Last week we had 4 inches of snow, today it's 60 and we are in a severe thunderstorm warning, and tomorrow morning it's suppose to be 20 and windchill of near 10.

We have about 70 inches of snow so far this year, and the last half of this miserable thing hasn't finished yet. We have no place left to put any more snow.

Just started falling a few minutes ago here. I went out and plugged in my backhoe (battery charger and block heater). Tomorrow is gonna be fun plowing driveways. Damn I hate winter.
The best part is my wife and I just flew in from Florida a few hours ago from vacation.

These 2 pics were taken in 2008. 4 meters of snow over the winter (that's over 13 feet). We normally get between 10 and 12 feet year in year out. This year we've had about 2 feet so far but it's really cold, we've been getting below 0F for the last 2 weeks or so... I'm glad to see you guys got it this year, I'll be riding sooner next spring!

We actually got a few inches on Christmas Day and for my birthday the day after, so we took the 50s out on an adventure which was really fun, and then about 2 weeks later we had about a foot of snow that lasted for about 2 weeks, pretty funny to see all the Alabamians freaking out about snow. But i did get to try snowboarding for the first time at a the only ski resort in Alabama. I had a blast and I wish I could do that all the time. Here are some photos from out snowy winter.

It's because nobody knows how to deal with it or drive in it, not to mention they don't have the resources, I believe they brought in trucks from Amarillo to help with the roads. I won't go out here if it snows, and it's because I'm scared of the other drivers. I grew up where it snows a little more, these people don't have a clue!:no::lol:

Lake Shore Drive in Chicago got shut down. For those of you that don't know, LSD is probably the biggest road in Chicago, as it's name it follows the shore and is probably the easiest way to get from the North side to the South side.

I haven't left my place but saw plenty of examples on the news. In their defense it was slick because we got freezing rain and sleet to leave a nice layer of ice first. But I saw pics of police cars pushing mustangs to get up ramps and all kinds of good stuff. Guess what, if you're on a frozen surface trying to go up hill....well, don't stop idiot!:no::roflmao: Never ceases to amaze me. I need to go see how many accidents there were this morning.

Haha, I had to drive through town to pick up my roommate from work last night and I thought I was going to have a seizure from all the flashing hazard lights and emergency vehicle lights. It was like watching a retarded ballet in cars. They're just slowly sliding and spinning into ditches or the car infront of them.
