Only a few days of sunshine left. My 07 RMZ450 has been sitting for about a month. When I turn on the gas, it leaks right out the bottom hose. The bike will run with only the choke on, but floods out when I turn on the fuel. I thought the float may be stuck so I tried tapping on the bottom of the carb, but nothing. Any ideas??? I need to get out to the track!

Go to your local dealership and get a carb kit for your bike. You most likely need to replace your float. Stock float is gonna run you around $20, and for $25 Moose or K&L make a carb kit that will have your float, all your gaskets, and new jets. Takes 30 minutes and a can of carb clean to do. Hope this helps!

On my old xr's that would happen, see if you can't tap the float bowl with something to see if you can't knock the float loose. If not just take the carb apart and loosen up the float.

Oops  I should read the whole post before writing. Umm try cleaning out the pilot jet and whatever else yzaddict said.

I had the floats stick on my 125 that I left out in the open for a few months:azz:

The floats stuck, but a few taps from rubber mallet and she was up and running. Don't use anything metal, you will damage the carb.

ETA: So now that I just noticed this thread is a month old, what did the trick? Inquiring minds want to know

My brother in-law had the exact same problem with his '07 RMz450. It was the float valve - about a $5 part that is essentially a rubber stopper that goes into the overflow orifice. If you remove the float assembly and look at the pieces, it's the small, cylindrical thing with a cone-shaped, pointy rubber end. It's basically just held on by a small clip. If this part goes bad, gas will leak even if your floats are adjusted properly.
