Plugging hot start

I just rejetted my '07 kx250f the other day and the hot start plunger was seized when I was removing the carb. I finally was able to get it out but I was wondering if instead of getting a new plunger and what not if I would just be able to plug the hole with something (like a choke pull) and remove the hot start all together? I have never heard of anyone doing this but I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. I was just wondering if any of you have done this or known anyone who has?
