View Full Version : Game Idea's...

rider:
start off by choosing your style of rider, stylish or "get er done".
choose your height and weight. tall and thick, small and thick, tall and thin. whatever you want!

Mini Bike Career:
start off racing 85 (12-13) at whitney, oak hill, world mini, ponca, LL, and mini olympics. you need to qualify for lorretta's though, when you start your amateur career. you choose what region you wanna live in: NorthWest, Southwest, SouthCentral, NorthCentral, NorthEast, and Southeast. where ever you choose, you will ride in that area and if you qualify, the regional...

Once you do in a full season of 85 (12-13) for 2 years, then you move up to big bikes in 125 B (age 14-15); and race all the amateur nationals in that. If you (get a certain amount of points out of all the amateur nat's combined) you can earn a factory ride from one of the major bike company's.. just a "B" Ride of the team.
example's? Honda of Houston, Simi Valley Suzuki, Xtreme Team Green, etc.

After the 2 years in 125 B , you do a season in the amateur nationals again riding 125 Pro. At the end of the amateur nationals you (without you knowing your amateur points) you will get a ride determined by your points.. the teams arent "label'ed" good or bad or decent.. but if you were barely making top 10's that amateur season in 125 Pro, then you will get a ride with a less-good team.. but if you won a few title's and earned a lot of points that amateur season, you can get a ride with Pc Monster Kawasaki, Makita Suzuki, Geico Honda, etc. each team will have a specific goal to keep your contract...
example: Team Solitaire's goals? make every main event and get atleast 3 top 10's.
Pc Monster Kawasaki Goals? get atleast 10 top 10's and 5 top 5's.

if you do not earn a factory ride right through the amateur's, you will do a season in the AMA Arenacross Series, and then earn you AMA Pro Lisence that way, instead of earning it directly through the factory ride.. just like real life. If you earn your AMA Lisence, and if your a privateer you will need to pay with your own cash (entry fee) while Factory Teams pay all that stuff ahead of time, so youll wanna get goood results so you dont run out of money and youll be forced to race amateur's again to get enough money to race pro sx...
side note: make a calender with all the races, so you can race amateur nationals while your still racing sx.
check out Nascar Dirt to Daytona. they have a good racing/calender system.
Once you do 3 years in the Lites Class, you will move up to the 450 class.
It will be tough to earn a factory 450 contract..
If you were a solid lites rider you will earn a decent ride, and if you won a title or few, youll get a ride with Monster Kawasaki or Team Honda or whatever the team may be. and you can race as many seasons as you want, and eventually turn into a veteran of the class. unlike other games where when its over, its over.
on a side note: the better the team, the better the equipment.

Amateur National Tracks: make the amateur nationals replica's and everything, 40 rider gate's.
AX Tracks: make them like real arenacross tracks, really small and actually need to slow down in certain sections.
SX Tracks: dont make them 140 ft doubles and crap, make them technical, IF your reallly frickin good, you might be able to quad a section if do-able.. 16 Supercross Rounds, realistic.
MX Tracks: realistic replica's of all the nationals during the AMA Motocross Circuit.
in other words, dont make the tracks stupid.. dont make the staduims 400 Acres of floor space.

make the physics real, the power delivery real, suspension, crashes.. make it all realistic. MX vs ATV Untamed was a joke! make it everything different then untamed. no scrubs/whips controlled by a button..
on a side not: If they can make a game just for the hardcore truck racers (BAJA) why cant they do so with motocross?

I don't like the idea of 85 class maybe 125 amateurs for one season remember Devin even though your ideas sound like gold to us when developing a game you have to appeal to the masses, dumb it down a little. I think the Untamed series is dumbed down too much somewhere in the middle is where a good game would be.

like i said, if they can make a game specificly for the truck lovers (BAJA)

why cant they do so for the hardcore mx fans?

or make a Arcade Mode option, where its just a sx and mx series.

:lol:Not gonna happen no one wants to play as 85 riders and certainly not b riders. I like how you add you and your brother on your list.

Is that for you to say? Surely it would depend on someone elses opinion?
Self confidence is one thing and you may be able to compete with them however for the sake of modesty shouldn't you wait for someone to say "hold on, you are competitve with this lot, you should add yourself!" Modesty really will go a long way with future and potential sponsers!

I had very similar ideas i my head since i played MX Vs. ATV. 85's would be cool but it may take away attention from the physics of the big bikes like everything else did to them in MX Vs. ATV, you know? The game would have to be less specific. Hell I moto and I probably wouldn't like do go through all these different seasons etc. Maybe just optional different series...Not where you're forced to go through all that crap. Games aren't viable money wise without making it somewhat attractive to the mainstream buyer. So like someone else said it should be an equal medium.

Those are good ideas, but it will never happen. Like someone said, nobody wants to be an 85 rider or B rider. I would just like to have a game that was similar to madden. That would be real cool. Modesty really is a good thing to have, I'm not trying to degrade you or anything. Also, if your that fast let your results and other people show and talk about it. Thats just what I have learned over my few years of racing.

85 rider dumb idea. Amateur is a decent idea, but you will not have your rider lists because then game developers would have to pay them. Yes there should be a better mx game with a career much like you described, I would like to see a mx game that is a lot harder and more technical though.

mx vs atv unleashed, they have "enahnced physics" where you crash if you even case a jump or hit berms to hard or anything, and other weird physics that makes it more slippery and real feeling, and you can make tracks and everything.

the amateur idea sounds good. samewith the actual national tracks. like red bud and glen helen and all that. and, a track editor for supercross.
-with the gameplay resembling mva unleashed, not untamed

mva unleashed with enhanced physics
makes it so realistic, you cant case a sx triple without wadding it up.. plus technical tracks like this...

Don't be sorry, just be more humble. Nobody likes egocentric people. Show some humility and you'll be surprised at how far it takes you. If you don't know what those words mean, look them up.

That said, yes we're going to ride when you're healed up. Although you'll probably be riding ahead of me.

I'm not sure about California, but here in NY you can get a permit at 16 and a normal license at 17 (after attending a driving school).

It varies by state. I think one of my relatives in Arkansas got his permit when he was 14...

i used to race quarter midgets (mini sprint cars) when i was like 6-10 yrs old, so when i get in a normal car i dont think it will be a problem, and i already know most of the traffic rules.. its all common sense on those permit test's.

Just accept you have had everything handed to you on a aluminum dirt bike stand.

1. His parents buy him dirt bikes.
2. His parents payed for him to race cars.

Without trying, there are two reasons why this kid has had more than most, and is spoiled in my eyes.

my mom and dad are divorced, my mom doesnt want to give a dime to my dad and we can barely afford to buy groceries, were probably gonna be forced to sell the house, and at times it looks like we are gonna need to sell the bikes just to stay under a roof.. thats why me and my brother are gonna start racing only contingency races so we earn our money back that we spent to race.

Maybe your dad needs to prioritise and ditch the computer(potential cash), everything that comes with it and god knows what else you have that you don't need if things are so epic you are on the verge of loosing the "roof over your head".
What does your dad do for a job anyway?

You don't have to justify why you were able to do those things. Its none of anyone's business how you were able to race cars or bikes. Some people play little league some people race. Spoiling a child has little to do with material things anyway. Be lucky you and your dad got to spend time doing something you both really enjoyed.

I think you need to at least admit that you are spoiled when people ask rather than act like you worked for everything when it is in fact not true.

Says allot about somebody.

But yes, be happy you could share that with your dad. Your very lucky.
